For the past 10+ years I have struggled with pain in my heels. If I am on my feet for any extended period of time (which means over 10 minutes) my heels begin to throb. It hasn't been too horribly bad, only because I am blessed with a super, and I mean extremely high tolerance for pain. I can handle pain that would make most people squeamish. Also it hasn't been rough, because I am a stiletto, pumps, peep toes, wedges and high heel addict! So that takes the pressure of my heels and moves it to the balls of my feet. I'm a smart one I tell ya! But recently I have also developed pain in my right ankle, one that has given me trouble before as I am a volleyball addict. And also one that is irritated by my high heel addiction. So yesterday I visited the most famous foot doc in Mississippi. She was also amazed at how long I have waited to come in. She calls it stubborn, I call it a blessing... haha!
So now I am in physical therapy 3x a week for a month, doing exactly what the doc says, in order to try and prevent surgery. And the bonus: I get to where my sneaks all day every day, along with a beauty of a lil air cast. :) The stilletos will have to be shelved for now, but hopefully not forever!
All I can say is praise the Lord for amazing doctors who know exactly what they are talking about and how to fix it! Now let's just hope in a month things will be at least 80% better.
